Policies & Procedures
As a registered Day Nursery, we are regulated by OFSTED, who are the governing body. During our inspections, we must show how we meet all of the new Welfare Requirements, laid down in the EYFS.
The result is made according to how well the inspector feels we met the standards and especially, how the individual needs of each of the children in our care are catered for. We receive no advance warning of the inspection.
To view the most recent OFSTED reports, go the the bottom of the "About" page for each nursery and click on the download link.
The OFSTED website provides a lot of helpful information for parents in choosing a nursery and government directives for childcare. You can use this as a forum for making comments about good examples or best practices for childcare settings or even complaints.
Little Red Hen Day Nurseries Ltd has a written statement explaining how we will meet all of the legal requirements and those that we should have regard for; and parents are given a full copy of these on CD ROM when contracts are signed.
We have a set of Golden Rules too which are linked into our Behaviour Management Policy.
